Program A — Farm Animal Rescue & Wildlife Sanctuary
Program A is the animal welfare and sanctuary component of Diva Dogs. Its purpose is to support rescue, rehabilitation, foster placement, adoption support, sanctuary care, and long-term placement of farm animals. It may also support wildlife sanctuary work, wildlife-friendly stewardship, and partnerships related to animal welfare and habitat.
The program must be built around responsible intake and quality-of-life standards. Diva Dogs should not accept animals simply because there is emotional pressure to help. Intake decisions should consider animal health, quarantine needs, disease risk, veterinary recommendations, placement capacity, cost, staffing, safety, and the organization’s ability to provide or coordinate humane care.
Program B — Farmitat Land Stewardship
Farmitat is Diva Dogs’ flagship implementation framework. It is inspired by Habitat for Humanity principles and adapted for rural properties. Its purpose is to improve underutilized farmland, animal facilities, habitat areas, and stewardship infrastructure while creating long-term community benefit.
Farmitat projects may include fencing improvements, habitat restoration, native plant installation, pollinator habitat creation, animal-area improvement, infrastructure improvement, stewardship education, and volunteer engagement. The intent is to transform underused or under-improved rural property into productive stewardship capacity.
Program C — Veteran Stewardship, Healing & Resilience
Program C provides military veterans with opportunities for purpose, stewardship, recovery, connection, education, and meaningful participation in mission-driven activities. The program is intended for veterans and should not be broadened to police or first responders unless a separate future program is deliberately created.
The core philosophy is that purpose supports recovery, connection supports resilience, stewardship creates meaning, and nature can support well-being. Diva Dogs is not designed to replace clinical care. Any mental health services must be provided only by qualified professionals operating within appropriate legal, ethical, and licensing standards.
Program D — Neurodivergent Nature Access
Program D provides sensory-aware, caregiver-supported nature and stewardship experiences for neurodivergent individuals across multiple age groups. Target participants include neurodivergent children, teens, adults, caregivers, and families. This program is not limited to adults.
The program is based on the philosophy that predictability reduces stress, nature supports exploration, animals encourage engagement, and stewardship creates meaningful participation. The program should not be designed as a high-pressure public event model. It should prioritize low-stimulation environments when practical, clear expectations, flexible participation, caregiver involvement, and safety.
Program E — Senior Human & Senior Animal Support
Program E improves quality of life for aging humans and aging animals through stewardship, companionship, support, education, and placement opportunities. The program recognizes dignity, connection, purpose, and compassion as core principles.
Senior human engagement may include meaningful volunteer opportunities, stewardship participation, education, mentoring, community connection, oral history, low-impact workdays, and legacy stewardship projects. Seniors may contribute knowledge, patience, lived experience, and continuity to the organization.
Program F — Pollinator, Wildlife & Native Habitat
Program F supports pollinators, wildlife, native plants, habitat restoration, ecological resilience, and stewardship education. It is one of the most scalable parts of the Diva Dogs model because small improvements can create meaningful ecological benefits when replicated across multiple properties.
The core philosophy is that healthy habitat supports healthy ecosystems, small improvements can create meaningful ecological benefits, and stewardship should be practical, measurable, and scalable. Program F can support Farmitat projects, veteran programs, neurodivergent experiences, senior programs, stewardship education, and community engagement.
