Farmitat adapts the neighbor-building spirit of Habitat for Humanity to rural land, animal facilities, habitat, and stewardship infrastructure. The work is practical: fencing, native plants, water, tools, training, volunteer projects, and durable improvements that keep serving after a workday ends.
Farmitat is Diva Dogs’ flagship implementation framework. It is inspired by Habitat for Humanity principles and adapted for rural properties. Its purpose is to improve underutilized farmland, animal facilities, habitat areas, and stewardship infrastructure while creating long-term community benefit.
Farmitat projects may include fencing improvements, habitat restoration, native plant installation, pollinator habitat creation, animal-area improvement, infrastructure improvement, stewardship education, and volunteer engagement. The intent is to transform underused or under-improved rural property into productive stewardship capacity.
