Why this work matters
A thoughtful place to begin.
The program is being designed around clear expectations, flexible participation, caregiver support, quiet options, and meaningful engagement with nature and animals. It is not a high-pressure event model; people should be able to arrive, participate, pause, and leave with dignity.
Program D provides sensory-aware, caregiver-supported nature and stewardship experiences for neurodivergent individuals across multiple age groups. Target participants include neurodivergent children, teens, adults, caregivers, and families. This program is not limited to adults.
The program is based on the philosophy that predictability reduces stress, nature supports exploration, animals encourage engagement, and stewardship creates meaningful participation. The program should not be designed as a high-pressure public event model. It should prioritize low-stimulation environments when practical, clear expectations, flexible participation, caregiver involvement, and safety.
